    Five Pillars of Islam

    Assalamu Alaikum

We learned the Five Pillars of Islam. $weety tried to remember it in order but keeps forgetting it. So we did some hands on activity, a mobile craft. I loved the mobile from Umm Abdul Basir's corner and decided to do it with some changes.

    So I cut the pillars and arranged everything, I want to add some art so I gave $weety to paint the pillars with different materials. First she painted with;

    Marble

    Sponge

    Cylinser Block

    Messy finger painting

    and spots

Then cut the pictures and colored them

After combining all, we saw a colorful mobile.

Attached a party hat on top and $weety wrote "ISLAM"

A closer look at the painted pillars

These are the pictures, to be steady pasted them on popsicle stick and attached to a string with a knot.

Shahadah, $weety wrote the Kalimah and the meaning

    Salah

    Zakath

    Sawm

    Hajj

Ramadan Activity ~ Moon Star Mobile

    Assalamu Alaikum

I was planning to do a moon star mobile and luckily one day $weety came from her Madrasah holding a craft which was perfect for the moon star mobile. So I only had to attach some more stars.

    Her Madrasah craft

    $weety cutting the stars

Punched holes at the bottom of the moon and the stars. laced all the stars with a knot and tied them to the moon.

Ramadan Activity ~ My Sadaqa Jar

    Assalamu Alaikum

On Ramadan I and $weety discussed about charity and the rewards we get, we also talked about Zakath. So on that day we made: Sadaqa Jar

    Bought an empty plastic bottle

Gave her to decorate, and wrote My Sadaqa Jar

Alhamdulillah with the flowers (from Big Sis) it turned out beautifully.

    Poked a slit on top

$weety and Sm!ley started to fill it

And here is her jar waiting on the table to help the poor (and also refills soon as possible :)
